Summary: The Manager of Rehabilitation Compliance and Outcomes reports to the Administrator. The Manager has 7 day a week accountability for all aspects of patient care, administrative, and operational activities in his/her assigned program. Manager is required to maintain the current requirements of his/her discipline, to remain clinically competent to support the delivery of care based on appropriate rehabilitation standards, policies, and procedures, and serve as clinical resource to staff and patients. As a member of the Rehabilitation Services management team is responsible for leadership in all aspects of Service and Operational Excellence.
Responsibilities: 1. Serves as a role model for standards of performance (Ownership, Teamwork, Communication, and Compassion). 2. Effectively demonstrates leadership in the principles of Service and Operational Excellence and is accountable for achievement of pillar goals (Service, People, Quality, Growth, and Finance). 3. Performs human resource management functions including interviewing, orientation, rounding, coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, quarterly conversations, and performance appraisals; responsible for human resource functions that are delegated to Coordinators. 4. Ensures daily compliance with evidence-based practice, established standards of care, policies/procedures, federal regulation for inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRF), CARF and Joint Commission standards, and operating guidelines pertaining to Rehabilitation Services. 5. Coordinates activities with other departments and agencies, maintains a good working relationship with other members of management team and external parties. 6. Collects and monitors data as appropriate to department/program needs, prepares reports, and implements any needed action plans to ensure outcomes meet or exceed expectations. 7. Ensures rehabilitation staff are trained and perform at or above established standards and meet or exceed expectations for Service and Operational Excellence. 8. Promotes professional standards for self and others through participation and/or leadership in education, training, LDIs, committees, workgroups, and departmental quality enhancement efforts. |
Credentials: Essential: * Registered Nurse * Cert Rehabilitation Nurse * Cert Case Management
Education: Essential: * Bachelors Degree Other information: 1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech therapy. Master’s degree in discipline, health care related field or business administration preferred. 2. Licensure / Certifications: Licensed to practice rehabilitation discipline in the state of North Carolina. Certification as Registered Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN) and Certification in Case Manager (CCM) required; if not certified at time of hire, must obtain within 5 years of year of hire. BLS certification. 3. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience. Minimum of 2 years in management or supervisory role. |
