Summary:
Works to reduce unwarranted care variation through project management and process improvement strategies. Supports and works under the direction of the Vice President and Director of Clinical Excellence to develop and implement strategies that reduce CVR (Care Variation Reduction), improve outcomes and reduce costs. The CE Programs Manager is a highly visible leaders who works directly with the Medical Staff, support staff, and senior leadership to identify gaps in quality of care and areas of unwarranted clinical variation and develop processes for change management and sustainment. The CE Programs Manager works closely with the CE Analyst and will review clinical and financial data to identify trends, drive improvement efforts, and monitor implementation results. The CE Programs Manager will work with the CE team to develop and deploy effective work teams to improve the value of care delivery, teach and spread methodologies of Clinical Excellence, and drive culture change to reduce unwarranted care variation throughout the system.
Responsibilities:
1.Leads project improvement initiatives utilizing LEAN, project management tools and change management strategies to improve value of care provided and support reduction in unwarranted care variation. 2.Review and analyze clinical and financial data to identify opportunities for reduction in unwarranted care variation, improve outcomes and reduce costs. 3.Works collaboratively with the CE Analyst to support the needs of the Clinical Excellence strategic initiatives. 4.Supports operational and medical leadership to identify opportunities and develop successful process solutions to engage staff and produce improved processes and measurable high reliability outcomes across the continuum of care. 5.Applies professional clinical knowledge, best practice guidelines, and interdisciplinary collaboration to advance problem analysis, creative solutions, and process redesign. 6.Coaches medical staff and operational leaders to implement and sustain evidence based and agreed upon care standards. 7.Researches evidence based best practices and guidelines to assist in driving process improvement. 8.Keeps initiatives well organized and actively plans and leads necessary meetings, huddles and Lean events to launch and sustain the initiatives. 9.Uses various software and analytic tools for use in data analysis, preparation and communication of information (i.e. creating of charts, graphs, presentations, quality and or cost trends). 10.Translates mass data into meaningful information to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and monitor process improvement initiatives. 11.Serves as influential leader working collaboratively throughout the organization to support system-wide care variation reduction strategies, helping to implement a culture of high value care. 12.Actively teaches methodologies of Clinical Excellence to clinical and operational leader to allow for proliferation of improvement strategies and results. 13.Utilizes dashboards for improvement initiatives, including physician specific dashboards, which evaluate the effects of team efforts and interventions on desired results and performance as relates to institutional and national benchmarks. 14.Ensures the timely dissemination of results and conclusions from monitoring, evaluation and quality improvement activities to stakeholders. 15.Tracks financial ROI on all improvement initiatives. 16.Develops executive presentations that are well organized, effective and appealing, and communicates in an articulate manner using principles of Graphical Excellence. 17.Develops working relationships, trust and accountability with people across many departments such as clinical areas, finance, analytics and more to support strategic initiatives. 18.Assists the Vice President and Director of Clinical Excellence and other team members in preparing materials for department presentations, training sessions and meetings. 19.Maintains and adjusts schedule to enhance team performance. |
