JOB OVERVIEW

The HRIS System Manager reports to the Director, Talent Insights. This curious, learning-oriented digital expert strives to embrace the ever-changing technology landscape; performing research, analyzing data and reports to identify and resolve People & Culture related issues; informing and advising leadership on change and improvement findings, as well as devises strategies for optimal business operations and services to ensure efficiency and increased productivity while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and objectives. This role requires a blend of strong consultative and critical thinking skills with keen project management, writing, and communication best practices knowledge. Ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment, with strong decision-making, project leadership, consultation, delegation, and communication skills are a must.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP:

  • Works closely with the Director, Talent Insights with all board and committee projects. Serves as a resource, educator, facilitator, and catalyst for technology-related changes.

  • Maintains confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Consults with team members on best practices to leverage technology and digitization within the assigned system portfolio on performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation workflow processes.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION:

  • Utilizes strong project management, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ensures timely delivery of information delivered to appropriate audience.
  • Manages the relationship with stakeholders and helps guide expectations.
  • Takes ownership and lead projects to execution, keeping different stakeholders informed of progress and key milestones.
  • Effectively communicates and builds relationships with a view of inclusion and belonging.

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS:

  • Supports the merger and acquisition integration of People & Culture systems to collect, compile, and analyze People & Culture data, metrics, and statistics, and applies recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance.
  • Consistently reviews core processes for improvement opportunities.
  • Manage, identifies, and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics on a day-to-day and hour-to-hour basis.

CRITIAL EVALUATIONS, ANALYTICS & REPORTING:

  • Assists People & Culture Leadership with reporting current and future trends of people metrics.
  • Utilizes current and future trends/practice knowledge in area of responsibility in forecasting P&C budget.
  • Ensures that all reports originating from the department are accurate and reliable.
  • Completes root-cause analysis to determine and quantify reasons for forecast variance and recommends changes to enhance forecast accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Examines strengths and weaknesses in the proposed HR solution from a digital perspective.
  • Develops current and future state workflows and provides gap analysis.
  • Facilitates process flow sessions with business and technical SME’s.
  • Facilitates customer acceptance of the workflow deliverables.
  • Analyzes problems and systems to synthesize, evaluate, and explain responses.
  • Gathers and assesses relevant information using abstract ideas to interpret it effectively and fairly.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Follows Novant Health's customer service standards, responds to customers in a timely manner and ensures service recovery when needed.

AGILITY:

  • Demonstrates ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs of the business operation.
  • Recognizes issues, and determines actions needed to advance the decision-making process.

COMPLIANCE:

  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture, including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, motivate, and retain employees, address staffing issues, and maintain legal compliance.
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, engagement, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

ACTION-ORIENTED:

  • Does what is needed to move projects forward in an organized manner with consistent execution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience with HR Information Systems/Management Information Systems (Infor GHR), with broad knowledge of a variety of computer systems and technologies required. 
  • Highly effective Project Management skills, sound judgment, creativity, and results-oriented, with the ability to coordinate, manage and achieve project success through time management, follow through and tracking as appropriate.
  • Excellent judgment, qualitative and quantitative abilities, and strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, consulting, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Intellectual depth, moral integrity, personal vision, creativity, leadership skills, fortitude, sincerity and diplomacy.
  • Bilingual in Spanish / English.
