Summary:
Responsible for all business planning, development and implementation in assigned areas. Performs budgeting, data analysis and business performance improvements. Implements strategies to optimize revenue, minimize expenses and enhance the business performance of assigned areas. Works as a member of a self-directed leadership team which is committed to a common purpose and goals.
Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for forecasting, planning and managing resource requirements, and collaborates with all other operations support so that resources are allocated in a manner the optimizes the hospital’s performance according to the strategic plan. 2.Monitors all revenue and expenses for assigned areas throughout fiscal year .Verifies and reconciles budgeted funds. Reports on variances and initiates corrective action. Serves as principal facilitator of budgetary process for the division. 3.Facilitates development and preparation of operational and capital budget. Works collaboratively with Finance Department and Materials Management Department throughout budget cycle. 4. Serves as the primary liaison and coordinator for departmental projects and technology implementation. 5.Compiles qualitative and quantitative analysis of metrics specific to clinical or financial outcomes. Prepares executive summaries, performs breakeven and return on investment analyses and provides other statistical interpretation on an ongoing basis. Provides management with recommendations for improving and increasing performance. 6.Collaborates with leadership in preparing unit specific dashboards and other departmental reports. Initiates action plans to address variances. 7.Coordinates business activity of assigned areas across Network and ensures consistent application of policy, procedures and practice specific to business functions of assigned areas. 8.Works with hospital’s Business Analysis and Planning and Resource Management to prepare ROIs and cost analysis by payor and compared with Premier bench marks. 9.Develops and implements business plans in assigned areas. 10. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies specific to business functions of assigned areas.
