Works under the supervision of the Director of Volunteer & Auxiliary Services. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of four Gift Shops, including staff oversight, volunteer training and retention, oversight of budget and accounting processes, and management of all retail operations.
1.Direct all aspects of retail sales and policies of 4 Gift Shops.
2.Supervise and evaluate Gift Shop paid staff. Manage staff and volunteers in a positive, proactive manner.
3.Work with volunteer coordinators and gift shop coordinators to recruit, place, train and retain volunteers.
4.Manage staff and volunteer schedules to provide appropriate coverage..
5.Manage sale events and new projects with support from gift shop buyer.
6.Oversee invoicing process with support from Inventory Coordinator and Buyer.. Works with Auxiliary accountant to assure accuracy and flow of account information.
7.Organize and schedule annual inventory with Inventory Coordinator and Buyer.
8.Organize a system that assures the accuracy of daily reports and bank deposits.
9.Input in budget process in conjunction with Auxiliary Accountant, Director of Volunteer & Auxiliary Services, and the Auxiliary Finance Committee.
10.Maintain appropriate education and be a member in good standing with gift shop trade organizations.
11.Promote positive customer relations within the Medical Center.
