Summary:
This full-time coordinator position will allow you to utilize your customer service, presentation, and administrative skills to promote the health and well-being of students, residents, and faculty within Undergraduate Medical Education and Graduate Medical Education. This opportunity will allow you to: • Implement and evaluate wellness education programs. • Conduct training and education sessions on a variety of topics on an individual basis and in group settings. • Develop and coordinate promotions related to health education and programs to inform and promote Novant wellness resources The successful candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree in health or medical field (e.g., nursing, allied health, health education). We are seeking an individual with at least one year of experience providing health coaching or presenting wellness plans. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to develop relationships, educate individuals on health care resources, and demonstrate excellent customer service through written and oral communications. Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities: • Develops and leads a comprehensive wellness program. • Coordinates, plans, and facilitates wellness activities and programs for students, residents and faculty. • Plans and implements classes, speakers, seminars • Develops promotion and publicity plans for wellness and fitness programs throughout the organization. • Compiles statistical summaries of participant data, class attendance, and to ensure proper detailed program evaluation. • Assists the GME director in the development of budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness program. • Provides educational presentations and training programs for students, residents, and faculty within the UME and GME programs • Designs and implements wellness programs and events to reduce health risk and encourage healthy lifestyles for employees. • Capable of writing grants to support wellness initiatives • Provides 1:1 consultation and coaching services including individualized holistic wellness plans to employees. • Tracks attendance, participation, and performance data related to wellness programs and events. • Organizes and oversees employee health screenings along with coordinating and implementing initiatives to improve employee biometric results. • Keeps abreast of current health studies and national wellness initiatives and activities, developing a network of resources and contacts in the community and at large • Assists with the Wellness Program’s strategic design and implementation and monitors key performance indicators. • Works in collaboration with GME Director, Human Resources, and Employee Health to support and ensure all components of the employee wellbeing experience are in alignment. |

Education and Experience: • A bachelor’s degree in health education, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. • Five or more years of experience in wellness program development. Physical Requirements: • Ability to move light objects weighing less than 20 pounds short distances. |
