Summary:
Works under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor/Lieutenant or in his/her absence, the Chief of Police. Assists the Lieutenant in supervising assigned squad personnel to ensure that all required and assigned duties responsibilities are accomplished. Acts as the team leader in the absence of the Shift Supervisor to ensure that all required and assigned duties/responsibilities are accomplished. Enforces NC State Laws as appropriate and in accordance to NC General Statues on company property. Enforces company policies procedures, laws, regulations, and directives as appropriate for the position. Performs activities to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, employees, Medical Staff, and NHRMC property. Develops training schedules and is the shift’s assigned Field Training Officer. Must have a working knowledge of the RMS Police reporting program. Regularly performs the duties of a Company Police Officer and other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
1.Performs all assigned duties and requested services in a professional manner while displaying a positive teamwork attitude toward all customers. 2.Works as the Shift Supervisor in the absence of the Lieutenant. 3.Assists in supervising / coordinating Company Police squad operational administrative, training, and logistical matters to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures; also, that supports the objectives and missions of NHRMC. 4.Is the designated Field Training Officer for the shift/squad. 5.Assists in completion of the annual performance appraisals and conducts employee performance conference. 6.Monitors attendance and daily performance of assigned employees maintains necessary documentation, counsels, and disciplines employees as necessary. 7.May assist the Department concerning new hires, promotions, demotions, and dismissals of personnel. 8.Initiates appropriate actions to ensure that all State, County and City laws / ordinances pertaining to violations occurring in/or around NHRMC property. 9.Coordinates with Lieutenant and NHRMC agencies to affect the timely resolution of situations, which will reduce overall liability issues in the execution of required duties and responsibilities. 10.Accomplishes projects as assigned; serves as member or chairperson on committees and boards in the development of projects and study of specific issues requiring a proposal or concept. 11.Responsible to implement provisions of the NHRMC Security Management Program to ensure compliance with CMS and DNV standards. 12.Must attend all training mandated by NC Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards annually to include training mandated by Company Police / NHRMC. 13.Demonstrates standard of performance (ownership, teamwork communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence. 14.Supervises County Morgue operations and duties such as storing and moving deceased persons as required.Ensures morgue paperwork is complete and accurate. |
