Responsible for routine clerical duties related to medical record management of physician and patient documentation to meet compliance guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Timely management of assigned reports and work queues related to physician orders, face to face documentation, summaries for patients or physicians.
- Promptly manages sending and receiving orders, POC, and other documentation
- Accurately reviews and processes face to face documentation to assure that documentation is present in the medical record that meets regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for outgoing faxes and the routing of incoming faxes for physician orders.
- Works cooperatively with Account Executives and Performance Improvement staff to obtain orders and clinical documentation related to face to face encounters.
- Answers and routes phone calls appropriately.
- Scans/files all medical documentation in the medical record accurately and timely.
- Maintains all medical records secure and confidential.
