This position will report to the Operations Manager, Protective Services. The Physical Security Technician, serves as a backup badge technician and is responsible for hospital wide emergency activated duress systems. Duties include badge production and system management of affiliated software, hardware, and databases as directed by the Manager, Physical Security/Protective Services. . Responsibilities:
Essential Functions • Responsible for testing and maintaining records of emergency activated duress systems such as: Alertus, burglar alarms, parking lot call stations, panic alarms, and any other duress systems under Protective Services.Responsible for issuance of initial, replacement, and amended employee identification badges. • Support operations of physical security systems including installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and management of related records.Performs tasks in a timely manner to meet and maintain customer service goals and expectations of all entities. • Provides back up as needed to the primary badge technician responsible for all duties/procedures related to the consistent standards of badge office and access control operations/systems. Assists in the preparation, maintenance, and organization of badge data. Follows set badge office policies, protocols, and documentation requirements as needed., in an effective and timely manner. • Follows set policy, process, and protocols to ensure the proper assignment to individuals of template, badge, and payroll/WFM data (when applicable), along with all other working components of a functioning badge. • Reports any potential problems or variances to appropriate management in a timely manner. Maintains consistent data as directed in software and adheres to consistent standards set for all facets of badge function and appearance established by leadership. • Performs tasks in a timely manner that meets interdepartmental customer service goals. Credentials: Essential: * Drivers License Class C
Education: Essential: * High School Diploma Other information:
Education: High School or GED Required. 2 Year / Associate Degree Preferred. Experience: Experience working in healthcare preferred. Experience as end-user in identification, emergency activated duress systems and access control software/hardware preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096.
