Performs department diagnostic procedures under the supervision of registered staff. Responsibilities: Performs patient diagnostic procedures such as EEG’s and LTM including correctly charging and assigning completed exams. Promotes the availability and provision of neurophysiology services. Complies and supports organization and department policies and procedures. Maintains clinical and professional competency, according to department policies, procedures, and protocols, as appropriate for the age of patient(s) served. Attends yearly Continuing Education on infection control and safety. Maintain knowledge of current practices and techniques. Attends monthly department education sessions. Maintains confidentiality with customer and business-related information. All other duties as assigned. | Position Requirements | Education: High School or GED Required. One year of formal or on the job neurodiagnostic training preferred but not required.
Experience: 1 year of Neurodiagnostic experience preferred but not required. Additional Skills/Requirements: Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s): Requirements for care that are relative to his/her age specific needs to the diagnostic testing being performed. Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): Knowledge of Xltek Equipment. Uses technology and best practice methods to achieve clinical outcomes. Strives to grow personally and professionally. Honesty and personal integrity guides actions. Approaches each service opportunity with a positive, flexible attitude.
